Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD)
Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD) Pakistan is a premier and an internationally recognized non-profit organization, working to create and sustain a global network of leaders committed to promote change towards patterns of economic development that are environmentally sustainable and socially equitable. This is primarily achieved through the capacity building of senior and middle level managers representing the corporate, public and business sectors, as well as the media, academia, and civil society. The organization also undertakes policy research and dialogue and outreach initiatives designed to promote synergy among the different stakeholders in national development. Over the years, LEAD Pakistan has grown into one of the most dynamic members of the global LEAD network ,and its expertise and institutional capacity have expanded for a wider outreach and impact. Since its commencement in 1995, LEAD Pakistan has expanded in various dimensions including: project portfolio, staff size, budget, geographical presence and outreach. This institutional growth has generated a number of strengths in LEAD Pakistan, including resilience, flexibility, efficient delivery of commitments, continuity of mission and a long-term view.
The organization operates a fully equipped office in Islamabad and is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860.
